The short version: caramel in Bristol works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a caramel box mod really costs in Bristol
Caramel in Bristol reaches the shelf in box mod formats, and the reviewed ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested caramel in a box mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Bristol, since tanks and pods go first.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 2–4 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a box mod arrives sealed but wrong.
Where caramel goes wrong
- Treating the advertised £46 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £2.44 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why caramel tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.

Frequently asked questions
What nicotine strength should caramel start at?
Start at whatever the UK allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a box mod.
How long does caramel in a box mod last?
In Bristol we measured 2 to 17 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On caramel the budget price and the premium price can sit within £2.44 per 10 ml once 2–4 business days is counted.
