Tropical pen device Nicotine Salt in Bristol: the compare shortlist — Bristolnicsalt
Tropical in Bristol: 15 units tested over 2 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
Delivery, returns and what 2–4 business days really means
Tropical pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 15 units and 2 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
Tropical in a pen device is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Bristol the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Below is the run we did for this search: 15 units, pen device, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a tropical pen device really costs in Bristol
Tropical in Bristol reaches the shelf in pen device formats, and the compared ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested tropical in a pen device
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in the UK, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a tropical bottle turned in 2 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every tropical bottle shipped into Bristol.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest pen device available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Mixing tropical with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Treating the advertised £64 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £2.19 per 10 ml.

Frequently asked questions
Why does tropical taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the tropical blend itself harsh.
How long does tropical in a pen device last?
In Bristol we measured 2 to 15 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
How much does a pen device cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Bristol: about £2.19 per 10 ml liquid plus £64 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
