Coil life, liquid cost and the sourcherry habit
There is no single best way to buy Nicotine Salt in Bristol. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
We run sourcherry the same way in Bristol: same vape pen, same 3 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: sourcherry in Bristol works if the vape pen, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sourcherry vape pen really costs in Bristol
Sourcherry vape pen reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 16 units and 3 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested sourcherry in a vape pen
- Pick the vape pen that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 2–4 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in the UK, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a vape pen arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where sourcherry goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a vape pen that then needs an adapter nobody in Bristol stocks.
- Ignoring the batch date on a vape pen and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Mixing sourcherry with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in the UK sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
How long does sourcherry in a vape pen last?
In Bristol we measured 3 to 16 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does sourcherry taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the vape pen units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the sourcherry blend itself harsh.
How much does a vape pen cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Bristol: about £2.2 per 10 ml liquid plus £37 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
