Sour in Bristol: 14 units tested over 7 weeks, zero-nicotine bottle formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
Choosing a zero-nicotine bottle for sour
A sour zero-nicotine bottle from the starter options in Bristol costs about £2.28 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
We run sour the same way in Bristol: same zero-nicotine bottle, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the zero-nicotine bottle you buy decides how long sour tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sour zero-nicotine bottle really costs in Bristol
Sour zero-nicotine bottle reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 14 units and 7 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested sour in a zero-nicotine bottle
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Pick the zero-nicotine bottle that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a zero-nicotine bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the zero-nicotine bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
Where sour goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest zero-nicotine bottle available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Bristol accept nicotine freight.
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long sour in Bristol survives.
The rules that apply here

Frequently asked questions
How much does a zero-nicotine bottle cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Bristol: about £2.28 per 10 ml liquid plus £40 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On sour the budget price and the premium price can sit within £2.28 per 10 ml once 2–4 business days is counted.
Why does sour taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the zero-nicotine bottle units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the sour blend itself harsh.
