Salted pen device Nicotine Salt in Bristol: the wholesale shortlist — Bristolnicsalt
Salted in Bristol: 11 units tested over 4 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
Where buyers go wrong with salted in Bristol
Salted sounds like one product. It is not: a pen device running 20 mg/mL will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
The honest read on salted: 11 units through the same routine over 4 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
The short version: salted in Bristol works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a salted pen device really costs in Bristol
Salted in Bristol reaches the shelf in pen device formats, and the bulk ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
How we tested salted in a pen device
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a salted bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in the UK, not a suggestion.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where salted goes wrong
- Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in Bristol stocks.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Bristol accept nicotine freight.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why salted tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for salted in Bristol must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Retail sales in the UK sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Why does salted taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the salted blend itself harsh.
Is salted legal to sell in the UK?
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.
How long does salted in a pen device last?
In Bristol we measured 4 to 11 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
