Plain squonk mod Nicotine Salt in Bristol: the deals shortlist
Plain in Bristol: 23 units tested over 7 weeks, squonk mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
Delivery, returns and what 2–4 business days really means
Plain sounds like one product. It is not: a squonk mod running 20 mg/mL will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Plain prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £3.32 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the squonk mod you buy decides how long plain tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a plain squonk mod really costs in Bristol
If you are looking at plain in Bristol, the first question is not strength. It is whether the squonk mod you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested plain in a squonk mod
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the squonk mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Spare parts availability for squonk mod in Bristol, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a plain bottle turned in 7 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plain bottle shipped into Bristol.
- Stock depth: 23 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where plain goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a squonk mod and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Chasing a discount on a squonk mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Bristol stocks.
- Buying the cheapest squonk mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.

Frequently asked questions
Why does plain taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the squonk mod units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the plain blend itself harsh.
How long does plain in a squonk mod last?
In Bristol we measured 7 to 23 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Is plain legal to sell in the UK?
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.
