Plain box mod Nicotine Salt in Bristol: the guide shortlist
Plain in Bristol: 13 units tested over 8 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
Choosing a box mod for plain
A plain box mod from the starter options in Bristol costs about £2.35 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Ordering into Bristol usually means waiting 2–4 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
The short version: plain in Bristol works if the box mod, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plain box mod really costs in Bristol
Plain prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £2.35 per 10 ml.
How we tested plain in a box mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plain bottle shipped into Bristol.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in the UK, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a plain bottle turned in 8 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where plain goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why plain tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised £68 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £2.35 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a box mod that then needs an adapter nobody in Bristol stocks.
