What the label on Licorice is allowed to say
Licorice prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £1.91 per 10 ml.
Licorice in Bristol reaches the shelf in nicotine salt bottle formats, and the best ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
If you only read one line: the nicotine salt bottle you buy decides how long licorice tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a licorice nicotine salt bottle really costs in Bristol

How we tested licorice in a nicotine salt bottle
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 2–4 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Coil type inside the nicotine salt bottle, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in the UK, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a nicotine salt bottle arrives sealed but wrong.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Treating the advertised £45 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £1.91 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Bristol accept nicotine freight.
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to the UK need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.

On the last run in Bristol: about £1.91 per 10 ml liquid plus £45 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
Why does licorice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the nicotine salt bottle units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the licorice blend itself harsh.
