How we tested Citrus RDA here
Citrus prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £2.19 per 10 ml.
A citrus RDA from the best options in Bristol costs about £2.19 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: citrus in Bristol works if the RDA, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a citrus RDA really costs in Bristol
Citrus sounds like one product. It is not: a RDA running 20 mg/mL will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
How we tested citrus in a RDA
- Pick the RDA that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 2–4 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every citrus bottle shipped into Bristol.
- Batch code and production date, so a citrus bottle turned in 5 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 2–4 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest RDA available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Ignoring the batch date on a RDA and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Treating the advertised £49 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £2.19 per 10 ml.
