Citrus pen device Nicotine Salt in Bristol: the online shortlist
Citrus in Bristol: 7 units tested over 2 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Bristol.
Coil life, liquid cost and the citrus habit
Citrus prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Bristol that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within £2.42 per 10 ml.
A citrus pen device from the online options in Bristol costs about £2.42 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: citrus in Bristol works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a citrus pen device really costs in Bristol
If you are looking at citrus in Bristol, the first question is not strength. It is whether the pen device you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested citrus in a pen device
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in the UK, which is 20 mg/mL for retail here.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every citrus bottle shipped into Bristol.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is 20 mg/mL in the UK, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 7 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where citrus goes wrong
- Treating the advertised £63 entry kit as the real cost when refills run £2.42 per 10 ml.
- Buying the cheapest pen device available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Assuming 20 mg/mL is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
UK rules cap e-liquids at 10 ml and 20 mg/ml, with batch codes on every bottle.
Retail sales in the UK sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is 20 mg/mL. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.

Frequently asked questions
Do you ship tracked orders to Bristol?
Yes, tracked to 2–4 business days, with the same-day cut-off at 14:00. Bulk orders get an import note attached before dispatch.
What nicotine strength should citrus start at?
Start at whatever the UK allows on the label. If you already smoke, drop one step; if not, half of it for a pen device.
Why does citrus taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the pen device units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the citrus blend itself harsh.
